Family members recall a peaceful, kindhearted, and spiritual kid. During his teenage years in Philadelphia, two of his many hobbies was dancing on the Dick Clark TV Show and he was an avid guitar player as well. He also excelled in education at different universities: Temple University 1961, University of New York 1962-1963 where he won an scholarship; Borough of Manhattan College 1967-1969, World University 1972-1973. At the University of Houston 1983-1984 he completed his pre-med courses to become a doctor. Reading was a very important part of his life favoring philosophy and spiritual books. Maurice married his wife Nayda in November 1979. From this union their son Mauricito was born on September 24, 1990. Maurice graduated from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine on 1990 making this his most important dream come true.

He opened his pediatric clinic in Dallas, on 1991 taking care of many children until August 20, 2012. He always mentioned that children entering to his clinic brought many blessings and healing, which is the reason why he decided to be a pediatrician. He loved his employees and treated them as family. They are considered blessed working for him. He is remembered as an honest, kind, loving, caring doctor and perfect husband and father. Maurice is survived by his wife Nayda E., his children Bibi and her husband Santos, Mikey and his wife Enid, Dion, Darius and his wife Hisae and Mauricito, his brother McKee (Kiki) and his twin sisters, Theresa and her husband Frank and Teralena and her husband Tom. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Vanessa, Loni, Daritsa, Yolicel, Leslie and Michael. His loyal employees Carmen, Jorge, Maria, Yadira, Jeannie, and Emma and her husband Ben His sisters Theresa and Teralena recall Maurice babysitting them while his parents were at work and Kiki was at school. Now that they are grown up they realize “what a sacrifice for a young teenager to help in this way with no complaints!

In the last year, his spirituality became stronger in Christ Jesus. Psalm 23 became one of his favorites. On his last day on this earth his nurse at the hospital confirmed this when she saw the glow on his face as he departed. She believed in her heart that Maurice was with the Lord. His wife Nayda wishes him a beautiful journey looking forward to meet with him when her time comes. He will be very much missed by everybody whose lives he touched especially his patients. We love you Maurice.
