Dr. David D. White

Dr. David D. White DVM was born February 26, 1921 in Bryan, Texas and died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 of natural causes at the age of 89 at his home in Whitewright, Texas. He is survived by son, Bob White and wife Lisa; grandson, Bryan White and his wife April of Whitewright and their children, Preston, Summer and Colin; grandson, David White of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, daughter Susan White. He served as a Flight Officer in World War II, surviving a glider crash during the Battle of Normandy. He married Margaret Elaine Connelly on August 31, 1951 in Trenton, Texas. Dr. White was recognized as the leading small animal practitioner in North Texas for over 40 years. Together with his partner Dr. W.L. Anderson, who specialized in large animals, operated four clinics as part of Dallas Veterinary Medical Center. He retired to Whitewright in 1992. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Whitewright, Texas.
