IN LOVING MEMORY

Dr. Charles Henry Nolan Macdonald

Nov 15 1929 - Oct 11 2013

Peacefully at home with his family, Dr. Charles Henry Nolan Macdonald passed away October 11, 2013. While his body may have failed him his mind was still sharp and he never lost his sense of humor.   He was born November 15, 1929 in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Nolan married Enid M. Hampshire on June 14, 1958 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. After practicing general medicine and anesthesiology in Ontario for 20 years, he moved his family to Fort Worth, Texas where he practiced at Harris Methodist Hospital until 1993.

He is survived by his wife Enid of Fairview, Texas and his sister Ann Johns of Collingwood, Ontario.   He is also survived by his daughter Carol Tucker-Mathisen and husband Scott, with children Jamie, Casey, Jordan, Jason and Jessica, daughter Linda Turner and husband John with children Haleigh and Morgan, and daughter Sandra Sisneros and husband Brian, with children Dillan and Trevor.

He was a very private man and his family was the most important thing to him. He spent his leisure time reading, golfing, researching genealogy, gardening and woodworking. His family has many pieces of his woodworking skills that will be cherished for a lifetime and passed on to future generations. His kindness, caring and sense of humor touched many people through the years and he will be deeply missed.

No services will be held in Texas. Nolan will be cremated and a private family service will be held in Collingwood, Ontario, June 2014. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
