Dr. Anthony Edward Vita, age 73, of McKinney, Texas passed away September 21, 2006, in McKinney. He was born August 16, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Nicholas and Carmella Susanna (Rialdini) Vita. On October 9, 1954, he married Evangeline Booth in Moran, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Vita was a 1962 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He was in Family Practice for 29 years and for the past 16 years was an Emergency Room Physician. He is survived by his wife, Evangeline Vita of McKinney; sons, Marc A. Vita and Nicholas B. Vita and his wife, Chandra all of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Laycee Nichole Vita, Kara Jo Vita and Korey Wade Vita all also of McKinney; brothers, Nicholas Vita of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Joseph Vita of Williamstown, New Jersey, William Vita of McKinney and Richard Vita of Manila, Philippines; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Edward Vita; parents, Nicholas and Carmella Vita; sisters, Florence Lucci and Rita Zappasodi. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of McKinney with Dr. John Blacklock and Rev. Rickey Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
