Doyle Wayne Landers, age 72, of Hawkins, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2015. He was born on March 23, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to Lawrence Wayne and Mary Edna (Reaves) Landers. On May 10, 1960, Doyle married Dora Luella Holmes in McKinney, Texas. He was a member of Holly Brook Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Luella Landers of Hawkins, Texas; sons, Ricky Landers and wife Charleen of North Richland Hills, Texas and Melvin Eugene Landers of Hawkins, Texas; sisters, Irene Strickland and husband C.L. of Hawkins, Texas, Dorthea Mills and husband Maxie of McKinney, Texas; brother, Lawrence Edward Landers of Princeton, Texas; half-sister, Brenda Cole and husband Wilson; half-brothers, Gary Landers and wife Denna, Billy Landers and wife Deann; stepmother, Ally Landers; grandchildren, Lora Marie Landers-Ford, Steven Douglas Landers and Jeremy Landers; 6 great-grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends.
Doyle is preceded in death by, his father, Lawrence Wayne Landers; mother, Mary Edna Blasingame; son, Curtis Joe Landers; brothers, Billy Ray Ford and Melvin Blasingame; stepfather, Buford Thomas Blasingame; half-brother, Charles Landers; and half-sister, Shirley Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
