Mr. Doug Yarborough, age 63 of New Hope passed away on June 18, 2005, at his home following a battle with cancer. He passed peacefully with his family by his side. He was born on January 19, 1942, in Mena, Arkansas. He was a retired owner and operator of Yarborough Canopies. Mr. Yarborough will be remembered as a hard worker, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend to all. He took pride in his farming, garden, and cattle raising. He attended the men’s prayer breakfast at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Sterne and husband, Dave of Arlington, Texas and Brenda Ellis and husband, Terry of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Nola and Kelly Casey, Beth Sterne, Karen Sterne, Clint Ellis, and Brian Sterne; great grandchildren, Michael Scharf, Mollie, Madison and Katelyn Casey; brothers, Glen Anderton of Tennessee, Bill Yarborough of Arkansas, Owen Yarborough of Texas, Kenneth Yarborough of Ft. Worth, Texas, Tim Yarborough of Weatherford, Texas, and King Yarborough of Justin, Texas; sister, Alice Czerwinski of Grand Prairie, Texas; and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friend. We will miss you Daddy, always in our hearts. Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Pash Yarborough; parents, Charles Christopher and Louise Frances (Anderton) Yarborough; son, Danny Mack Yarborough; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday June 21, 2005 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Brad Sloan officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Texas. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
