Dortha Mae Pressnell, age 80, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 4, 2008, in McKinney. Dortha was born July 8, 1927, in McKinney, Texas, to Pat and Jewel Hazel (Hamm) Cottle. She married Leon Alfred Pressnell on August 21, 1943 in McKinney, Texas. Dortha retired from McKinney Independent School District after many years of service. She was also a member of Family Worship Center in McKinney. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Holland and her husband, Dickie of McKinney, Texas and Melody Eldridge and her husband, David, also of McKinney; grandchildren, Richie Holland and his wife, Sonia of Plano, Texas, Jeremy Holland and his wife, Meredith of Allen, Texas, Holly Arello and her husband, Jon of West Brookfield, Massachusetts, Julie Earnest and her husband, Chris of Plano, Texas, and Jill Eldridge of McKinney; five great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy McClellan-Caldwell; brother, Pat I. Cottle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Jewel Cottle, step-mother, Clemmye Cottle, husband, Leon Alfred Pressnell, daughter, Rhonda Jewel Pressnell, and sister, Kathleen McClellan. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Dalton Froman officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 7:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
