Dorothy Wright of Frisco, Texas passed away June 1, 2012 at the age of 80. She was born August 11, 1931 in Roxton, Texas to Robert and Opal (Windsor) Crutchfield. On December 24, 1948, Dorothy married Walter McDonald Wright in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plano, where she was very active in Sunday school class; Dorothy was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her children, Jacquie Tate and husband Mike of Frisco, Rodney Wright and wife Carol of Marianna, Florida, Melinda Otzenberger of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Steven Wright and wife Ruthie of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan Tate and wife Tracy of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brad Tate and wife April of Frisco, Texas, Brandon Wright of Marianna, Florida, Aaron Otzenberger and wife Karen of Albuquerque, Josh Otzenberger and wife Tessa of Albuquerque, Michael Otzenberger of Albuquerque, Katriana Wright of Farmersville, Texas, Christine Wright of Addison, Texas, April Wright of Wylie, Texas, Lorna Chaney and Marcus of Garland, Texas, Duncan Wright of Wylie, Marion Wright of Wylie and Leslie Burroughs and husband Jacob of New Hope, North Carolina; and ten great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Walter McDonald Wright; sisters, Tommie Duke and Retha Coffman; and brother, Bobby Crutchfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 1300 East 15th Street, Plano, TX 75074. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7pm until 9pm, on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
