Dorothy passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24th, after a brief illness. Born on December 1, 1924, this “young” lady maintained her grace and humor until the end. Her early years were spent in Cleveland, Ohio, but she touched the lives of many friends in her moves through Michigan, California, Illinois, and Maryland until finally settling in Plano, Texas, in 1976. Although she did not enjoy the job transfers, she was happy supporting her husband’s career and raising her family. Dorothy was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Irvin, and cherished son, David Scott. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Gieselman of Burbank, Pamela Swank of Plano, Susan Burks of Frisco, sons-in-law, Phil Gieselman and Randy Burks, and grandchildren Greg, Emma, and David Gieselman, Nicole Swank, and Randie Burks, as well as dogs Sami, Belle, and Tyson. A host of friends mourn her passing. A memorial service will be held for Dorothy at St. Francis of Assisi, Frisco, Texas, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be at Restland.
