Dorothy May Harris of Princeton, Texas passed away February 10, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born June 30, 1927 to William and Florence (McAdams) Daniels in Farmersville, Texas. Dorothy grew up in Collin County. She married Albert Harris on May 12, 1943 in Collin County. Dorothy enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Victory Church in McKinney, Texas.
Dorothy is survived by her children, James Harris and wife Alice of Lowry Crossing, Texas, Patricia Robertson and husband Charles of Whitewright, Texas, Stella Hall and husband Fred of Princeton, Texas, Novaline Nabors and husband Randy of Farmersville, Texas, and Brenda Case and Husband Danny of McKinney, Texas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Daniels and wife Lucille, Princeton, Texas and Paul Daniels and wife Shirley of Duncanville, Texas; and a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Harris; parents; grandson, Lonnie Wayne Hall; brother, John Daniels, and sister, Pairle Bailey.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Rev. Rick Riddle officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
