A Graveside Service for Dorothy Lee Crawford, 86 year old Leonard resident, (formerly of Bedford, Texas), is scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday April 5th at the Leonard Cemetery. Rev. Willie Johnson will officiate. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Wednesday April 4th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Miss Crawford was born March 20, 1926 at Deport, Texas. Her parents were Frank and Lillie Dean Crawford. She was a graduate of Leonard High School and TWU at Denton. She worked for Delta Airlines for 38 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leonard, Delta Pioneers Club and Bedford Homeowners Association. She passed away Monday April 2nd at the Parkland Memorial Hospital at Dallas.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Geraldine and Bob Morton of Tomball; her brother: Bill Crawford of Leonard; her brother and sister-in-law: James and Carol Crawford of Denison; her 4 nieces, 3 nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by numerous friends from her community and Delta Airlines and by her favorite companion, her dog, Charlotte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Jackie Van Crawford; her sister-in-law: Tommie Crawford and a nephew: Lee Pemberton.
