Dorothy Ann Carter, age 77, of Prosper, Texas, passed away November 16, 2011, in Frisco, Texas surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born December 8, 1933, in Prosper, Texas, to Raymond Lee and Willia Bernice (Bratcher) Waller. She married Johnnie Cleveland Carter on June 2, 1951, in Prosper. Dorothy was employed with the City of Frisco for many years. She loved to travel and read. Dorothy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Prosper and had just joined Lebanon Baptist Church, Frisco, Texas. She is survived by her children Carolyn Bonner and husband, Jerry of Frisco, Texas, Kevin Carter and wife, Barbra of Prosper, Texas and Kenny Carter of Frisco, Texas; Patti Lynn Hammond and husband, Kevin of Alvarado, Texas; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Perry Waller of McKinney, Texas and Terry Waller of Celina, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Pastor Ray Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Following the service, family and friends are invited to Mrs. Dorothy's house for a reception.
