Doris Jean, of Allen, Texas (formerly of Melissa) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 18th. She was the daughter of H.W. (Tom) and Martha Ethel Wallis of Melissa. She was born in Melissa on August 28, 1925 and lived in Melissa most of her life. She retired from Texas Power and Light after 32 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Melissa and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juanita Cuffman and Jo Ann Baker; brother, Wilbur Wallis; and an infant granddaughter. She is survived by her children, Bobbie Estes and husband, Tommy, Johnny O’ Pry and wife, Valerie and Cathy Morris and husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Bob Estes, Jay Estes, Ryan O’ Pry, Ben O’ Pry, Laura Morris O’Kane, Jeffrey Morris and Matthew Morris; twelve great-grandchildren, five nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2011 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery, Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
