Doris Valera West, age 90, of McKinney, Texas passed away July 18, 2009. She was born October 7, 1918 in May, Texas to A.V. and Myrtle (Rankin) McBride. On August 27, 1956 she married Walter R. West in Brownwood, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1996. Doris was an office manager for the Department of Human Services. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Dungan and husband, Richard of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Rich Dungan of Washington, DC, Chris Dungan of Dallas, Texas; brother, Dwight McBride of San Angelo, Texas; nephew, Bill McBride and wife, Janie of San Angelo, Texas and sister-in-law, Georgia Ruth Jones of Early, Texas. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Plott Roach. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
