Doris Evelyn Posey, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2013 at the age of 71. She was born on June 3, 1941, in Lucas, Texas, to Leamon Royce and Lometa Pearl (Hatfield) Hester. In February of 1955, Doris married Billy Posey in Collin County, Texas. She was always active in her children’s school activities. Doris loved picture albums; she also enjoyed genealogy and did research on the history of many local cemeteries.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Posey of Princeton; children, Nancy Massey and husband Charles, Billy L. Posey and fiancé Sue Knief and Cindy Walden all of Princeton; grandchildren, Brandi Williams of Princeton, Charles B. Massey and wife Jessica of Princeton, Chris Walden of McKinney, Texas, Russell Posey of Allen, Texas, Janelle Posey and Alicia Posey both of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Allison Massey of Princeton, KorbenWilliams and Shelby Williams of Princeton, Blake Posey of Allen and Rylan Peshlakai of Plano; sister, Louise Holloway of Garland, Texas and two additional sisters.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Leamon and Lometa Hester and brother, Joe Hester.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Mike Beasley officiating.
