Doris Jean Copeland, age 75, of Whitewright, Texas, passed away on January 12, 2017 in Plano, Texas. She was born May 7, 1941 in McKinney, Texas to Roy Lee and Janieta Hill Terry. She married Carl Copeland on June 4, 1961 in Oklahoma. She was a clerk in the District Clerks Office in McKinney, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas.
She is survived by; daughter, Julie Whitsell and husband Brent of Trenton, Texas, daughter, Rae Ann Thornhill of Princeton, Texas; son: Scott Copeland of Allen, Texas, grandchildren, Bryan Whitsell and Amy, Katie Thornhill, Kyle Copeland, Kristen Copeland and Kendall Copeland; great-grandchildren, Natalie Whitsell and Riley Whitsell, step-grandchildren, Jennifer Armstrong and Brian Thornhill, step-great grandchildren, Reese Armstrong and Bowen Thornhill .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on November 4, 2014.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas with Rev. Stan Fike officiating.
