Donnie Lynn McCutchen, age 57, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 8, 2007 in McKinney. He was born on August 4, 1949, in Greenville, Texas, to Elbert Eugene and Fannie Bell (Stanfield) McCutchen. Donnie, following in his father’s footsteps, began singing and playing guitar in his early teens. His love of music resulted in over 40 years performing as a professional musician. Whether for an audience of one, or a standing-room-only crowd at Billy Bob’s, Donnie Mac’s passion for singing, playing, and songwriting is legendary. His efforts lay not only in the professional realm, but he often performed for senior-citizen groups and children. Donnie’s influence has inspired dozens of kids over the years to take an interest in music. On February 3, 1986, he married Patricia Ensey in McKinney. Mr. McCutchen worked in sales and delivery for a paint company. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Teresa Harrison of Apex, NC and Jennifer Ensey of McKinney; grandchildren, Nicholas Weddle of McKinney, Andrew Ensey of McKinney, Karissa Harrison of Apex, NC, Eva Villaneava of McKinney, and Preston Harrison of NC; mother, Fannie Bell McDonald of Gunter, TX; sisters, Nelda Luna of McKinney and Barbara Russell of Graham, TX; and nephews, Anthony and Michael Nelson of McKinney. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
