Donna Merry-Malta of McKinney, adored mother of Jack, precious daughter of Suzy and Bob Merry of McKinney, beloved sister of Kathryn Merry Ware and Chris and CJ Flannery and Ryan, proud aunt of Avery Flannery and Jonah Ware, dear friend of Ginger Ward, and sister of the heart Krystle Abele, passed away on June 30, 2015 at the age of 37.
She was born May 19, 1978 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Donna spent her early years in Canada and moved to Texas with her family in 1988. She graduated from McKinney High School in 1997 and attended Collin College. As a young girl, she loved riding her horse Snickers. She was an avid reader and video game player, enjoyed discussing political and social issues, was an exceptional giver of gifts and a champion of the underdog.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her cousin, Christopher Bayer.
Our sweet and special Donna lives on in our hearts and through her participation in the Southwest Transplant Alliance.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Following the service, all are welcome to join the family at their home located at 2304 Highgate Drive, McKinney, TX 75070.
