Donna Ann Davis Bramblett was born August 19, 1938, in Van Zandt County, TX. After graduation from high school, she moved to Dallas, TX and lived there until 1971 when she and her family relocated to Plano, TX. Donna was an honor graduate of Canton High School, class of 1956. She was an insurance underwriter for Southland Life Insurance Co. until they relocated to Georgia in 1990. Donna then worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas in the same capacity until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of Hunters Glen Baptist Church and the Heart Changers Sunday School class. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James P. Bramblett; son, James Michael Bramblett of Spring, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Goode Rogers of Tyler, TX; sister-in-law, Janis Kay Walker, of McKinney, TX; nieces, Debbie Elrod and husband, Donny of Humble, TX, Suzy Bisetti and husband, Bill of Longview, TX, and Jacy Hawkins and husband, Tim of Allen, TX; and longtime friends, Gordon and Novell Allen of Canton, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, L. A. and Gladys Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Kim Hall officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
