Donald Cary Keyes, age 74, of Garland, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 11, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey to Lt. Col. Carleton and Charlotte Keyes. He was married for 41 years to Sally (Henry) Keyes, who precedes him in death. He enjoyed a 52 year career in radio broadcasting, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife, Betty Keyes of Garland, Texas; son Brian Keyes and wife Mona of Winter Park, Florida; daughter Kathleen Keyes Pool and husband Joe of Longview, Texas; two grandchildren, one cousin, one sister-in-law, one nephew and two stepdaughters. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 1200 N. Shiloh Rd., Garland, TX 75042 with Fr. Richard Carlisle officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Don’s memory.
