Donald Holley of Plano, Texas passed away August 10, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born July 23, 1932 to Luther Lewis and Edith Mae (Petitt) Holley in Beaumont, Texas. He married Jean Hubbard on February 19, 1954 in Beaumont. Donald moved to Plano in 1970. He retired from Sun Oil Company after thirty-five years. Donald had a passion for fishing and attended First Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Holley of Plano, Texas; children, Donna Sides and husband Jackie of Allen, Texas, Debbie Herell and husband Keith also of Allen, Texas, David Holley and wife Diane of Lake Texoma, and Diane Lynch and husband Jeff of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Matt Myers and wife Erin of Frisco, Texas, Deuce Sides and wife Jessica of McKinney, Kyle Dent and wife Amanda of Wylie, Sarah Glazier and husband Ben of Irving, Katie Sides of Plano, Lindsey Ferguson and husband Tim of Frisco, Drew Deskin of Addison, Mackenzie Lynch of Lewisville, Casey Trolson and husband Rob of Wylie, Cory Herell and wife Jamie of Allen, Texas; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Holley and wife Libba of Tiki Island, Texas; sister, Murell and Harvery Day, Vidor, Texas.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Edith Holley.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 1300 East 15th Street, Plano, Texas 75074. The family will received friends during a visitation Monday evening from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
