Donald "David" Davidson Chapman, Jr.

Donald (David) Davidson Chapman, Jr., a much loved husband, Dad and papa, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2014, at home after a hard fought battle against cancer. He was born in McKinney, Texas on April 14, 1945. He was raised by his kind and generous grandmother Jessie Chapman. He married Linda Faye Brown on August 13, 1966 in McKinney, Texas. He worked as an X-Ray Tech at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and Mobilex USA for 29 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McKinney. He was an unselfish and caring man. Never complaining, always feeling fine. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends. He was devoted to his family and was very proud of them. He loved watching his children and grandchildren in school and sport activities. He will be remembered as a loving and thoughtful man.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 48 years, son David Dustin Chapman and wife Julie of Jacksonville, Florida and daughter Kelley Bass and husband Johnny of McKinney, grandson Clayton Bass and two granddaughters Tori and Lauren Bass of McKinney and a host of close loving family and friends. He will be truly missed by all.

David was preceded in death by his dad Don Chapman and his grandmother Jessie Chapman.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Cottage Hill Cemetey in Celina, Texas.
