Don Seymour, 72, passed away October 16, 2012. Don was born December 13, 1939. He was a loving husband, cherished father, amazing grandfather, sweet son and brother.
Don graduated from Perryton High School in 1958. He was selected as an All- District, All- Regional and All- State Fullback. He graduated from West Texas State in 1963. Upon graduation, he became a coach and teacher for four years. In 1967, he became a State Farm Agent in Perryton, Texas and later in Plainview, Texas. In 1972, he was chosen to become a State Farm Agency Manager in Grand Prairie. He ended his 45-year career with State Farm with his agency in Arlington.
Don married his high school sweetheart, Donna, September 6, 1959. Together they had two beautiful and precious children, Shawn and Shanna.
Don is survived by his wife, Donna Seymour; daughter, Shanna Webb; daughter-in-law, Tammy Seymour; grandchildren, Hunter Don Seymour, Dakota Shawn Seymour, Makinley Webb and Sidney Webb; mother, Elowee Seymour; and sister, Linda Kimber.
Don was preceded in death by his father, M.W. Seymour; his son, beloved Shawn Seymour; son-in-law, Kenneth Webb; and mother and father-in law Bertie and Ervil Hoots.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
