Don Alfred Griffin

Don Alfred Griffin, (K5DAG) age 73, of Sanger, Texas signed off for the last time June 23, 2016, in Denton, Texas. He was born on February 14, 1943, in Dallas, Texas to Dorothy (Kennedy) and John Alfred Griffin, Jr. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School. Don was a life time member of the First Baptist Church of Frisco. He was active in the Youth Ministry, never missing camp in 40 years. He was known as Uncle Don. Don retired as Production Supervisor for TP&L at the Frisco Power Plant. He was a very active member of the West Fork Amateur Radio Club, Front Line Ministry and Bill Glass Prison Ministry.

Don is survived by his daughter, Kay Ann Little and her husband, Gentry of Woodward, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Katie and Sam; brother, Scott Griffin and his wife, Sharon of Denton, Texas; aunt, Janet Nowlin of Lewisville, Texas; three nieces and nephews, Rick Griffin and his wife, Melayne, Angie Lang and Jennifer Upshaw and her husband, Bryant; several great- nieces and nephews; four cousins, Craig Nowlin, Suzie Bacchus and her husband, Steve, Terry Moore and his wife, Susan and Bob Moore and his wife, Kaye

Don is preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Sue Griffin and his parents, Dorothy and John Griffin Jr.

Pallbearers are Keith Birdwell, Bill Billingsley, Chris Hurt, Chris Lackey, Mark Hooper, and Kyle Byrd. Honorary Pallbearers is the West Fork Amateur Radio Club.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Frisco from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the church on Monday, June 27, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park.
