Dickey Cox, age 75, of El Campo, Texas, passed away March 20, 2015. Dickey was born July 12, 1939, in McKinney, Texas, to Lee Roy and Hattie Alice (Enloe) Cox. He married Judy Dolores Butler on June 8, 1957, in Durant, Oklahoma. Dickey was a professional bull rider and owner of a meat processing plant. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Alvin, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Cox of El Campo, Texas; son, Kenneth Lee Cox of Fremont, Nebraska; daughter, Carola Jean Foltyn and husband, Lane also of El Campo; grandchildren, Justin Foltyn and wife, Carrie of Bryan/College Station, Texas, Clayton Foltyn and wife, Kala of Winnie, Texas, and Jennalee Cox of Fremont, Texas; great-grandson, Truitt Foltyn; and step-grandchildren, Christi Bradley of Granbury, Texas and Wade Robinson of Glen Rose, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Hattie Alice Cox and sister, Patsy Drake.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
