Diana Clayton

Diana DeLoryes Clayton, age 58, of McKinney, Texas went to be with her Savior May 28, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born on August 8, 1955 in Dallas, Texas, to Bill and Jeanne (Holland) Space. Diana graduated from North Mesquite High School, Class of 1974. She furthered her education as an X-ray technician in which she began her career until meeting the love of her life, Jerry Clayton. They married and began their life together in 1975. As they raised their family she had many jobs, from cleaning houses with her dear friend, Arlinda Rounsaville, to working in child care for 10 years. She then spent 12 years working for United American Insurance before being diagnosed with Leukemia. Diana was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for 39 years - serving Jesus by serving others. She was a dedicated wife, a great mother, a fun and loving Mimi, and a tremendous friend.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jerry, of the home; second mother, Joyce Space McMillan, of Mesquite, Texas; two sons, Jeremy Clayton, Jason Clayton and wife Kate, of Cameron, Missouri; Swedish son, Carl Berg and wife Kristina, of Stockholm, Sweden; brothers, Keith Bateman and wife Ski, of Idabel, OK and Billy Space and wife Crystal, of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Brianna, Justin, Madison, Mason, Mia, Max; along with numerous very close nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Space; grandsons, Jay and Jayden.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Climax, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
