A Memorial Service for Denise Fiama Gorena Yambra, 47 year old Frisco resident, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday July 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Frisco. Rev. Denilio J. Gorena will officiate.
Mrs. Yambra was born October 8, 1966 at Brownsville, Texas. Her parents were David Gorena and Mary Frances Weaver Lloyd. She was a member of the Fellowship Church, a graduate of Baylor University, a part of the Baylor Alumni Network and she taught Second Grade for 25 years, many of those years being with the Frisco Independent School District. She passed away at her home Friday June 27, 2014.
She is survived by her father: David Gorena of Tutukaka, New Zealand; her mother: Mary Frances Lloyd of Livingston, Texas; her sisters and brothers: Dina Gorena of El Paso, TX, David Gorena of Frisco, TX, Dathan Gorena of Little Elm, TX, Denilio J. Gorena of Leonard, TX, Richard Weaver of Charlotte, N.C. and Larry Eiteljorg of Scotsdale, AZ; and her boyfriend, Tom Udall of McKinney, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, numerous Second Grade students whom she taught during her 25 year teaching career and her two dogs, Sissy and Sadie Yambra.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Dionicio and Fidela Gorena and George and Virginia Weaver and a cousin Brenda “Honey” Ingraham.
