Denise Marie Kemper of Melissa, Texas passed away August 5, 2012 at the age of 45. She was born April 3, 1967 in North Canton, Ohio to Don and Donna (Bickel) Smith. On May 11, 1996, Denise married Karl Kemper in Cancun, Mexico. She loved to travel, particularly to the beach; and also loved weekends at the lake. Denise was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Karl Kemper of Melissa, Texas; sons, Nathan and Lucas Kemper also of Melissa, Texas; sisters, Dawn Stacy and husband Howard of Kennedale, Texas, Deirdre Leibrandt and husband Tom of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother, Donna Smith of Paris, Texas; nephews, Alex and Daniel Stacy of Kennedale, Texas; father-in-law, David Kemper and wife Billie of Powderly, Texas; many other loving friends.
Denise is preceded in death by her father, Don Smith and son, Joshua Kemper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery, in Powderly, Texas at 2:00 p.m.
