IN LOVING MEMORY

Delese Alane Holmes

Nov 30 1950 - Apr 08 2014

Delese Beckwith Holmes, 63, beloved wife of Thomas Holmes, passed away on April 8, 2014, at her home in Allen, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born November 30, 1950, in Belfast, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Eva Beckwith.

She was a case worker for Penobscot Consortium CETA Program in Bangor, Maine for several years and then became an accomplished media executive in radio, yellow pages, and the newspaper business.  In Texas, she owned and operated a woman's clothing boutique, All That Jazz, named after her Maltese dog, Jazzy.

Delese's greatest gift was her inate ability to make and keep life-long friendships.  She touched many peoples' lives with her sense of humor, warmth, and generosity.  Always willing to listen, offer guidance and lend a helping hand, she will be remembered by her family and friends forever.

Delese had a great talent for sewing and crafting and an amazing ability to decorate and make an ordinary room into a showpiece.  After retiring she made many beautiful unusual items.  Many lucky friends and relatives received and enjoy some of these unordinary works of art.

Besides her husband, Tom, Delese is survived by her precious dog, Jazzy; sister, Dacia Stoll of Fort Pierce, Fl.; brother, Drayton Beckwith and wife Toni of Cape Coral, Fl.; beloved nieces and nephews, Lenore Van Benschoten, Liana Dewberry Shultz, Henry Lawler Jr., Devin Beckwith and Weston Beckwith; four great nieces, three great nephews and one great great nephew; stepson Jeff Holmes and wife Kerry; stepdaughter Kristi Neal and husband Jeff; step grandchildren, Kacey, Lauren, Ashley, Cheyenne, Jacob and Jamie; and many special friends.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
