She was born in Dallas, Texas on September 3rd, 1970 to Howard and Virginia Johnson of Murphy, Texas.  She graduated frm Plano East Senior High School in 1989.  While in High School, Debbi was a cheerleader.  Her personality made her a natural.  She was encouraging, energetic, and beautiful-inside and out.   She went on to New Mexico Highlands University with a full scholarship in Academics.  Debbi graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors in 1994.  She established so many tremendous and meaningful relationships throughout her life.  Debbi brought joy, fun, and laughter to everyone.  In 2006, Debbi met Michael T. Laster.  They continued their relationship, creating a family and building a life together.  On February 19th, 2011, Debbi's dream came true.  Michael and Debbi welcomed to this world their daughter, Katelyn LaDahn Laster.  Being a mother was Debbi's ultimate accolade.

Debbi is survived by her husband, Michael Laster, daughter, Katelyn, and step-son, Landon, of McKinney; her parents, Howard and Virginia Johnson of Murphy; brother, Howie Johnson and his wife Sarah of Houston; brother in-law, Rex Nichols, and her niece and nephew, Elizabeth and John Nichols of Plano.  Debbi is also survived by her mother and father in-law Beverly and Michael G. Laster of Pottsboro; sister in-law, Brandi Foltz and her husband, Brian, of McKinney; brother in-law, Matthew, and his wife, Tiffany, of Celina; and, their nieces and nephews, Austin, Alec, Aaron, Emily, and Madilyn Foltz of McKinney; and Chase, Colton, and Lexi Laster of Celina.

While the loss of Debbi was sudden and tragic, the family is comforted by the fact that Debbi is rejoicing and dancing with her sister, Margaret, in Heaven.  Margaret passed a short three weeks prior to Debbi.  The family wishes to thank the countless friends and family whose support during this time is immeasurable and comforting beyond description.  "...Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  Isiah 40:31
