Debra C. Countryman

DEBRA C. COUNTRYMAN,  LOVING WIFE, MOTHER AND DEAR FRIEND – Debra C. (Debbie) Countryman, 59, of Cross Roads, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at home, after a brief illness. Born November 4, 1957, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Alfred L. and Dorothy V. (Schroeder) Wickline. After graduating from Trinity College, she married Richard A. (Dick) Countryman on June 9, 1979. She was an active part of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, TX. 

Debbie was employed as an Educator early in her career, and later as a Scheduling Manager for Guardian Angels Homecare in Lincoln, NE. She retired in 2013.  Her most cherished role was as a Mother to Zach.  Debbie loved tennis, music, cooking, long walks and good books.  She was the church librarian at Calvary Fellowship Church in Downingtown, PA for eight years.  Deb had the gift of hospitality. She was a quiet, behind-the-scenes servant of Jesus, who enjoyed living and loving others in Galesburg, IL, Lincoln, NE, suburban Philadelphia, PA and the DFW metroplex.  When you made a friend with Deb, you made a deep, loving friend for life. 

Debra is survived by her husband, Richard A. Countryman of Cross Roads, TX; son, Zachary R. Countryman and his wife, Laura of Plano, TX; two siblings, Cheryl Berg and her husband, Donald of Comstock Park, MI, Perry Wickline and his wife, Sherry; father, Alfred Lee Wickline, all of Galesburg, IL, and 19 nieces and nephews. 

Debra is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Wickline. 

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Ridgeview West Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Drive, Frisco, TX 75034 on January 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Fischer officiating. A Memorial Service is also planned at Bethel Baptist Church, 1196 Academy Street, Galesburg, IL 61401 on January 20, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Scott Wilson officiating.
