Deborah Lynn Smith-Stanley, age 54, of Fairview, Texas passed away October 7, 2009 at 9:09 AM, with her family by her side. She was born January 26, 1955, in Fort Hood, Texas to Richard and Norma (Collyar) Smith. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1972 and attended Columbus Technical Institute, now Columbus State Community College, from 1972-1974. She met and married John Herbst and gave birth to Jennings Bryan Herbst, her only son. Deb was employed with AT & T from 1972 until 2009 in various secretarial and management capacities. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Stanley; son, Jennings Bryan Herbst; grandson, Isaac Herbst; father, Richard E. Smith; sisters, Diana K. Smith and Kimberly A. Mals; brother, Richard E. Smith, Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Smith. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Chaplain Harper officiating.
