David Charles Underwood, age 68, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 8, 2014, in McKinney, Texas. Dave was born on February 18, 1946, in Biddeford, Maine to Harold and Ellen (Lynch) Underwood. He married Dana Gardner on October 4, 1974 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Dave served on the Board of Directors of The McKinney Soccer Association and was the President of the Soccer Referees Association in McKinney, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife Dana Underwood of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Kristen Francis of McKinney, Texas; son, Brian Underwood of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Sierra Smith of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Aiden Francis of McKinney, Texas; brother, Bob Underwood of Florida; two sisters, Dottie Beaudreau of Massachusetts and Alice Ruffman of South Carolina; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
