David T. Thatcher, age 75, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 20, 2007 at his home. He was born January 11, 1932, in Maumee, Ohio, to Paul Harley and Mildred (Ketteringham) Thatcher. He graduated from SMU with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Rockwell International for 32 years. He was a member of the Elks Club in Dallas, The American Legion, and Eldorado Country Club. On February 14, 2000, he married Joyce Browner in Maui, Hawaii. Mr. Thatcher was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Jaye; daughters Gayla Simmons and her husband David of McKinney and Alisa Bartz and her husband Jim of Palos Verdes, CA; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicole, Dylan, Blake, Dawson, and Madison; sister, June Edmonds, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister; and first wife Barbara. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, January 5, at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
