David Monschke

David Monschke, age 71, of Plano, Texas passed away April 25, 2013. 

A funeral service will be held at 10: 00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.   Reverend Jack Soper will be officiating.   Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

David was born March 1, 1942 to Alfred Gustav Monschke and Mattie Ruth (Preston) Monschke in Denton, Texas. After growing up on the family farm in Krum, Texas, he attended the University of North Texas where he received a B.S. degree in mathematics.  

David served his country proudly as a lieutenant in the United States Navy and was stationed at the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. After his military service, David worked as a computer programmer for several private companies in the defense industry including McDonnell Douglas and Texas Instruments.  

On October 9, 1977 he married Marilyn Harrison Frazier in Florissant, Missouri. David enjoyed nature, especially gardening with his wife. He also loved spending time with his family. He attended Arapaho United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas. 

David is survived by his wife Marilyn H. Monschke of Plano, Texas; two sons, James Monschke and wife Anastasia of San Francisco, California, and Keith Monschke of Wolfe City, Texas; three stepchildren, Linda Churchill and husband Gene of Frisco, Texas; Terri Frazier of Plano, Texas; Bob Frazier and wife Christina of St. Peters, Missouri; four brothers, Paul Monschke of Krum Texas; Charles Monschke and wife Alta of Krum, Texas; Larry Monschke and wife Ginny of Haslet, Texas and Harold Monschke and wife Debbie of Krum, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth Monschke.
