David Lee McClelland, II

David McClelland II of Little Elm, Texas, entered eternal rest October 28, 2014, at the age of 30. He was born September 6, 1984 to David and Jennifer McClelland in Lufkin, TX. David accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. David attended Malvern High School graduating in 2002. He furthered his education by attending Ouachita Technical College in Malvern, AR. He decided to pursue his passion of owning his own trucking company. David married the love of his life, Danielle, on April 16, 2010. He was a faithful member of One Community Church in Plano, TX, actively participating in his life group, men’s bible study, and the shuttle ministry. David enjoyed spending time with his family, loving on his wife, and being a great father. He was known as Team Dad for his son’s basketball team. David was the ultimate provider making sure that his family was always taken care of. He would travel around the country, meeting new people, providing services for the care and well-being of his wife and three children. David had a dream of owning his own transportation company with a strong faith he designated the name Disciples. David was spiritually and physically fit and made sure he shared those dreams and goals with anyone he came in contact with. His strong love of God in his life prepared him for this day.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Danielle Sheree McClelland of Little Elm, TX; son, Dearian Zion-Jamar McClelland – 8 years old; son, Deshawn LeShai McClelland – 3 years old; daughter, Diana LaBelle McClelland – 18 months; father, David Lee McClelland Sr. of Melissa, TX; sister, Lashanta Chantriel Gipson and husband Jeremiah of Melissa, TX; brother, Steve Anderson of Dallas, TX; grandmother, Artha Lee McClelland of Gurdon, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

David‘s mother, Jennifer Denise McClelland, preceded him in death.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd. Plano, Texas 75093. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
