David Hariel Malone

Funeral Services for Mr. David Hariel Malone, 88 year old Dallas resident, formerly of Leonard, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 19, 2013 at Peace Tabernacle located at 16020 CR 635 Blue Ridge. Rev. Wayne Hutchins and Rev. Kendal Hutchins will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday September 18, 2013 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Hariel Malone was born August 15, 1925 at Ector, Texas. His parents were David Hoyt and Eunice Eva Amelin Malone. He worked as a custom printer in the photo finishing business, served his country as a medic in the United States Army during WWII and his church preference was the Pentecostal Church. He married Juanita Christine Nolen March 26, 1944 in Bonham, Texas. He passed away at the University General Hospital in Dallas Monday September 16, 2013.

He is survived by his daughter: Janice Eldredge of Forney; His sons and daughters-in-law: Keith and Kathie Malone of Plano, Jerry and Sally Malone of Irving, David Malone of Dallas, Kelvin Malone and Gilma Villegas of Dallas, Rex and Kim Malone of Forney; his son-in-law: Paul Fuller of Forney; his sisters and brothers: Ann Malone of Sherman, Deliliah Miller of Lancaster, Lynn Watson of Hurst, Frank Malone of Royse City and Paul Malone of Mesquite. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lois Flanagan, Eva Bausell, Charles Malone, Mary Labor and Joel Malone, his daughter, Helen Fuller, and a granddaughter, Shana Fuller.

Hariel was gifted with mechanical things and had a natural artistic eye. In his lifetime he built and flew three airplanes, and modified one to hold the aerial camera he also built. He was a gifted photographer and custom printer. He left a legacy of memories preserved with candid family photos. In retirement, he worked beautiful leather crafts as gifts for loved ones. Among family and friends, Hariel was known for a wry sense of humor, and a talent for bestowing nicknames.   His family is grateful for the attentive care he showed his wife, Juanita, during the last years of her life.
