Mr. David G. Mahoney, age 42 of Allen, TX and formerly of Carol Stream, IL, went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2004 at his home. He was born February 24, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Gerald and Alice (Bartosiewicz) Mahoney. He married Gina Marie Christiano, daughter of the late Anthony J. Christiano, Sr., July 11, 1992 in Barrington, IL. David graduated with honors from ITT in Chicago, IL. He was a chemical engineer for Fire Protection and Safety in the petroleum industry and was the Director of Risk Management with Liberty Mutual Corp. in Dallas. David was active with his kids and coached the Boys Baseball Team. He was also Troop Leader for Pack 870 Cub Scouts. He was an avid golfer and skier. David lived his faith in the Lord and his family. He was a member of Stonebriar community Church in Frisco. He was an honorable gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all whose lives were touched by him. He is survived by his wife, Gina Mahoney of Allen; sons, Nathan and Grant Mahoney; daughter, Stephanie Mahoney; parents, Gerald and Alice Mahoney of Burbank, IL; sister, Debbie Dybinski and husband Paul of Orland Park, IL; nieces, Jennifer and Allison; mother-in-law, Carol Christiano of Palos Hills, IL and brother-in-law, Anthony Christiano of Palos Park, IL. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2004, at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, TX. Interment will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be make to the Mahoney Children Scholarship Fund. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for “Brain Cancer” research.
