David Glenn Dimmette, age 54, of Plano, Texas passed away February 6, 2010. He was born June 25, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Glenn and Doris Marlene (Shuler) Dimmette. David graduated from Nimitz High School in 1973 where he was a member of the band. He attended Texas Tech and the University of North Texas. He worked for Texas Instruments, Raytheon and L3 Communications for over 30 years. He was also a member of The Heights Baptist Church, Richardson, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Fugate of Bonham, Texas; brothers, Jim Dimmette of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Richard McIntosh of Weatherford, Texas and Dennis Fugate of Baltimore, Maryland; sisters, Jeanne Crespo of Corsicana, Texas and Susan Pfeil of Bonham, Texas; fourteen nieces and nephews; thirteen grand-nieces and nephews including Connor and Brett Spurgin who were just like his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Dimmette; step-father, Ken Fugate; sister, Joan Nash and brother, Archie Fugate. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
