David "Dave" Curtis Hallman, age 68, of Allen, Texas, passed away March 25, 2012, in Allen. David was born June 7, 1943, in California, to Joseph and Kathryn (Speck) Hallman. He married Lynda Caplinger on May 3, 2003, in Van Alstyne, Texas. David was a computer programmer.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Jo Caplinger of Allen, Texas; son, Daniel Joseph Hallman of Arizona; daughter, Deborah Starkey and husband Larry; grandsons, Reid Jackson and Ross Jackson of Parker, Texas; sister, Carol Cummins of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; niece, Kristi Cheek and husband Will; great-niece, Samantha of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; his spiritual grandchildren, Tanner, Bobby and Brooks; and numerous loving friends and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his great-niece Kalyn Cheek.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
