Davellen “Dee” Grace Willoughby, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on June 28, 2013 at the age of 60. She was born November 18, 1952, in Homer, Louisiana, to David and Peggy (Strahan) Kimbell. On February 10, 1973, Dee married Ted Willoughby at First United Methodist Church in Richardson, Texas. Her hobbies included gardening, playing games and watching baseball, particularly the Texas Rangers. She enjoyed spending time in the pool during the summer months. Dee loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She attended First United Methodist Church of McKinney.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Willoughby of McKinney; children, DeAnna Duffy and husband Steve of San Antonio, Texas, Melissa Alianell and husband John of Farmersville, Texas, Bucky Willoughby and wife Katy of Wylie, Texas, Clint Willoughby and wife Katina of Sachse, Texas; sister, Tanya Franklin and husband Rick of McKinney; brother, David Kimbell of Bridge City, Texas; mother, Peggy Kimbell; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews, MacKenzie Weaver of McKinney, Torchy Franklin of Dallas, Texas, Sam Franklin of McKinney, Landon Weaver of McKinney and Steven Kimbell of Bridge City, Texas; many other loving family members and friends.
Dee is preceded in death by her father, David Kimbell.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, July 1, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, in Allen, Texas.
