Funeral Services for Darold L. Lewis, 72 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday March 12th at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. Rev. Sam Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 5 until 8 P.M. Sunday March 11th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mr. Lewis was born October 5, 1939 at Gregory, South Dakota. His parents were Elgin Robert and Cora Ellen Sorber Lewis. He married Sandra Jean Hanson June 29, 1958 at Pomeroy, Iowa. He was a farmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. He passed away Friday March 9th at the Centennial Medical Center at Frisco. He is survived by his wife: Sandra Lewis of Leonard; his son and daughter-in-law: Rodney and Shanna Lewis of Lime Springs, Iowa; his daughters and sons-in-law: Dianne and Tom Kleinert of Garland, Susan and Kevin Wright of Celina and Jodi and Mark Smith of Frisco; his daughter: Jill Lewis of Allen; his grandchildren: Jessica Lewis of Leonard, Cole Lewis of Lime Springs, Iowa, Dakota Wright of Celina, Kelsey Smith and Brody Smith of Frisco; his great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Jasmine Lewis; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris and Darell Derry of LeRoy, Minnesota and Lois and Dale Schramm of Atlantic, Iowa; his brothers: Cecil Lewis of Lime Springs, Iowa and Elgin “Junior” Lewis of Riceville, Iowa; his sister-in-law: Waneta Lewis of Riceville, Iowa; his brother-in-law and wife: Dennis and Shirley Hanson of Mackburg, Iowa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Lewis, and an infant son, Todd Lewis.
