Darlene Finner

Darlene Finner, born March 21, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Mr. Charles Marion Williams and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Williams. Both preceded her in transitioning to Glory. Darlene was the baby girl of three boys and three girls. Darlene attended Elemetary and High School in St. Louis, MO. Darlene enrolled at Western State University College (Gunnison, CO) in 1976 for two years then went on to receive her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Darlene joined the Burning Bush Baptist Church as a teenager under the leadership of Rev. David Booker. She confessed a belief in Christ at an early age at Church of Jesus Christ under the late Rev. Dotson Brown. In May 1979, Darlene married Mr. Louis Curtis Finner and to these proud parents, two children were born, a daughter, Della Mone and a son, Louis Curtis, Jr. Darlene joined the Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Plano under the leadership of Rev. Charles Terry where she served faithfully as a Choir Member and musician for 16 years. Darlene moved her membership and united with Fairview Texas Church of God Ministry under Minister Wayne Hinton. Darlene was a faithful Bible student until her sickness that began in the summer of 2005. Darlene had many dedicated supporters, friends and associates. Darlene worked for Aetna Insurance Company as a Physician Reimbursement Manager for 21 years. Her co-workers were true helpers. She is survived by her daughter, Della Kemp of The Colony, TX; son, Louis Finner, Jr. of Plano, TX; siblings, Charles Marion Williams, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; Larry Williams of Carrollton, TX; Donald Eugene Williams and wife Rita of The Colony, TX; Marilyn Marie Johnson and husband Eddie of St. Louis, MO; Sharon Annette Byrd and husband Dee of St. Louis, MO; Janet Marie Kelly of New Jersey; Rodney Rolondo Wright and wife Andrea of St. Louis, MO; Sandy Verbina Franzen and husband Mike of Arlington, TX; Evelyn Unetta McWilliams and husband Chris of St. Louis, MO; Shonda Tenell Williams of St. Louis, MO; Brenita Ann Williams of St. Louis, MO; Branita Ann Williams of St. Louis, MO; step brother, Dwaune Embry of St. Louis, MO; step sisters, Donna Maria and Letra Arnold Wright of St. Louis, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Williams and a step brother, Carlos Wright. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Hinton officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., on Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
