Darlene Hallows Doherty of Plano passed away on December 26, 2013 at age 65. She was born October 10, 1948 to John and Rita Hallows in Holland, New York. She worked for many years at the Medical Center of Plano and Medical Center of McKinney before retiring. She was a life member and served in in several positions with the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Casey Joyce All America Post 4380 in Plano, Texas, including President and Treasurer and a member of the Plano American Legion Post 327.
She is survived by her three children Danielle Collins, of Oceanside, New York, Shannon Cook of Plano, and Scott Cook of Dallas; three grandchildren Alexis Collins, Shannon Conforti and Michael Conforti; and brother Len Hallows and his wife Diane of Attica, New York, brother Ron Hallows of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and sister Kathy Lockwood and her husband Tom, of Vero Beach, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nine years, Anthony Doherty, her parents, and one brother Daniel Hallows.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
