Darel R. Woods, age 83, of Trenton, Texas passed away December 9, 2007 at his home. Mr. Woods was a membr of the Woodman of the World and an avid coin collector. Mr. Woods was retired from his plastic recycling business. He is survived by his son, Darel David Woods of Indio, California; daughter, Georgia S. Cooper of Little Elm, TX; grandchildren, Lauren Dickens, Lynnessa Alexander and Jacob Woods; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Hannah, Rebekah and Eli Dickens; and his brother, Harold B. Woods of Trenton, TX. He was preceded in death by his two wives, Betty Marie Woods and Joyce Ilene Woods; parents, Plaz Marion Woods and Mamie Hannah Elizabeth Henson Woods; four sisters; and two brothers. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the small chapel of the First Baptist Church of Denton Texas, 1100 Malone Street, Denton, TX with Gary Dickens officiating. His cremains will be buried at Las Cruces, New Mexico at a later date. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
