Danny Lynn Funderburk, age 47, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away July 23, 2013. Danny was born April 16, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to Benonly and Mildred (Lewis) Funderburk. He married Pamela Farrens on August 2, 1986, in Dallas, Texas. Danny was a pipefitter and welder in the construction field. He loved to fish and was a jack of all trades. Danny enjoyed building things for other people and taking care of what needed to be done around the house. He loved to spend time with his kids and was very devoted to his family, especially his brother, Ben.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Funderburk; sons, Austin Funderburk and Daniel Funderburk; granddaughter, Kristy Funderburk; mother, Mildred Funderburk; brother, Ben Funderburk, all of Mesquite, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benonly Funderburk, and sister, Carla Funderburk.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
