Danny "Dan" Alan Freyling, age 61, of Frisco, Texas joined his Lord on Thursday morning, August 13, 2015. He was born on November 7, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Dolores Ann (Williams) and Donald Edwin Freyling.
Dan embraced Christ as his savior later in life when he joined St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Mesquite, Texas, where he married his wife, Sylvia Cass on March 19, 2005.
In 2013, Dan moved with Sylvia to Frisco Lakes, where he has been surrounded by abounding support from neighbors and his new church family at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church.
He was a kind, gentle, and accepting man who was loving of his family and friends, and embraced those around him without question. He lived life gently each day, in spite of his medical struggles, and could easily laugh at his own shortcomings.
Dan is survived by his wife, Sylvia Freyling of Frisco, Texas; three sons, Brian David Freyling of Carrollton, Texas, Keith Alexander Freyling of Dallas, Texas and Trever Alan Cass of Irving, Texas; grandson, Noah Isaac Cass of Fort Worth, Texas; mother, Dolores Freyling of Orange Park, Florida; brother, Tom Freyling and his wife, Lou Ann of Brooksville, Florida; sister, Mary Freyling of Orange Park, Florida; three nieces, and many extended family members and faithful friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his father, Donald Edwin Freyling.
A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, 3521 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75034, on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor Billy Echols-Richter officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church.
