Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Dan.
Daniel Louis Lindner was given life by his Creator and was born on September 1, in the year of our Lord, 1945, the child of Arthur and Ruth. On October 7, 1945, he received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On May 17, 1959, he publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed. He received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood. On September 4, 1976, he received the gift of a beloved companion in his spouse, Joyce. He was blessed with the gift of children, Stacey, Heath, Becky, Mark, and Phillip. He was also blessed with three grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, and Collin. God blessed Dan’s life with many special people as he served God in his vocations at home, church, work, and in the community. Finally, on May 23, in the year of our Lord, 2016 God blessed Dan with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother Dan.
A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 615 Parker Road, Wylie, Texas 75098. Interment is to follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
