Demao Chen, age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away August 29, 2016. He was born April 19, 1943 in Sichuan, China. In 1967, Demao married Qiming Xu in Yunnan, China. Upon graduating college, he moved to Yunnan, and began his career [EDC] in a factory and later worked on various jobs at Yunnan Forestry College, and eventually became Head Master. Demao enjoyed fixing things and fishing. He loved helping people, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Qiming Xu; son, Qiang Chen and wife Jie Fang; daughters, Xin Chen and husband Jianhong Li, Yun Chen and husband Timothy Tsai.
Demao is preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday evening, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
