Dale E. Montgomery, age 71, of Leonard, Texas, passed away May 17, 2009, in Carrollton, Texas. Dale was born February 25, 1938 in Temple, Oklahoma to Charles Dale and Lena Estelle (Evans) Montgomery. He married Vera Ellen Hills on September 13, 1957, in Olney, Illinois. Dale was the southwest regional manager for Linpac, Inc. for twenty-one years. He was also a member of Trenton Church of Christ. Dale proudly served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Vera Montgomery of Leonard, Texas; sons, Brad Montgomery and his wife, Sandie of Van Alstyne, Texas, Scott Montgomery and his wife, Emily of McKinney, Texas, and Todd Montgomery and his wife, Ginger, also of McKinney; ten grandchildren, Wesley, Tad, Mason, Sam, Ryan, Riley, Ashton, Avery, Kayson, and Jacob; brother, Don Montgomery and his wife, Maria of San Antonio, Texas; and sister, Nancy Crown and her husband, J. R., of Rochester, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas with Minister Sam Sidders officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M., Tuesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
